About Probus Clubs

Probus Clubs are clubs for retired or semi-retired people from all walks of life and may include business or professional people.

PROBUS is a local, national, and international association of retired people who come together in non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit, autonomous clubs which provide regular opportunities for members to meet others in similar circumstances, with similar levels of interest, make new friends, and maintain and expand their interests.

In some places Rotary Clubs sponsor Probus Clubs, but many clubs are stand-alone entities.  We are not affiliated to a Rotary Club.

Each Probus Club is autonomous. The club endeavours to be simple in structure, be free of the constraints and obligations of service clubs and involve members in a minimal cost.  The club is directed primarily to providing fellowship between members who are compatible with each other, and the opportunity for development of acquaintance.

Dunkeld and Birnam Probus Club is a mixed club where everyone is welcome.

There are several other Probus clubs in Perth and Kinross.

There is a register of UK and Eire based Probus clubs. Probus Online
